Closed-cell, emulsion-templated hydrogels for latent heat storage applications

Abstract

We report the fabrication of closed-cell hydrogel polyHIPEs (HG-PHs). The HG-PHs with closed-cell structures were prepared through light-induced, interfacially initiated radical polymerization of Pickering high internal phase emulsions. These HG-PHs showed excellent properties for latent heat storage using phase change materials as the dispersed phase.
