2022, International Journal of PlasticityGrowth mechanism of α<inf>p</inf> and interface relationships between α<inf>p</inf> and α<inf>s</inf> during cooling of a near α titanium alloy
2022, Materials and DesignCitation Excerpt :Equiaxed αp is formed after the intense deformation and then subsequently aging for a period of time in the two-phase region. The growth of the equiaxed αp usually occurs during cooling and shows a pinning effect on β grain growth during cooling [8–10]. Semiatin et al. suggested that the growth of the equiaxed αp depended on the element diffusion during cooling from the solution heat treatment in the two-phase region [11].
A review of microstructure and texture evolution during plastic deformation and heat treatment of β-Ti alloys
2022, Journal of Alloys and CompoundsIn-situ investigation of phase transformations in ultra-fine grained Ti15Mo alloy
2021, Journal of Alloys and CompoundsCitation Excerpt :Moreover, ex-situ TEM observation of samples heated to 500 °C showed new, strain-free grains of α phase in SAED pattern (individual diffraction spots). The accelerated precipitation of the α phase in SPD-processed metastable β Ti alloys was also reported in other studies [12,15]. The coexistence of the β, ω, and α phases at 500 °C in the HPT specimen was observed.
