Abstract

This study reports on the deposition of flexible silver dendrites thin film on the cellulose membrane. The formation of dendritic silver nanostructures derives from the continuous aggregation growth of silver nanoparticles. The increase in the AgNO3 concentration showed the formation of anisotropic Ag thin films demonstrated by an increase in the surface roughness factor. The reported method represents a simplistic method for the deposition of silver dendrites nanostructure thin films. A combination of characterization techniques such as scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and atomic force microscopy was used and all confirmed the formation of Ag dendrite thin films.
