The authors wish to make the following clarifications regarding the primers used in real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (PCR):
The correct sequences used were: superoxide dismutase (Cu/Zn-SOD; forward: 5′-CCAGCGGATGAAGAGAGG-3′, reverse: 5′-CCAATCACACCACAAGCC-3′), mitochondrial manganese superoxide dismutase (Mn-SOD; forward: 5′-GACCTGCCTTACGACTATG-3′, reverse: 5′-TACTTCTCCTCGGTGACG-3′), catalase (forward: 5′-ATTGCCGTCCGATTCTCC-3′, reverse: 5′-CCAGTTACCATCTTCAGTGTAG-3′), and glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH; forward: 5′-GATGGGTGTGAACCACGAGAAA-3′, reverse: 5′-ACGGATACATTGGGGGTAGGA-3′) as internal control.
